REVIEW | Stila Stay All Day HD Beauty Balm

Recently a brand spanking new Mecca Maxima store opened near to where I work. For those who don't know, Mecca is a store in Australia that stocks a lot of international cosmetic brands like NARS, Smashbox etc. It's pretty much heaven! You may have remembered me mentioning Kit Cosmetics before? Well Kit and Mecca are the same company and the Maxima stores are like both combined to create a fantastic SUPERSTORE! Yep, I got your attention now, didn't I? I thought the opening of this store would instantly be the most dangerous thing to happen to me, but surprisingly I have controlled myself well.

While I was having a wonder in the store the other day, completely awed and mystified, I spotted this...

And what a mouthful of a name! Stila Stay All Day 10-in-1 HD Beauty Balm. Woah!

I have been very curious about BB Creams as of late. I've never owned one or tried one, but I've quite often felt them on my hand in the stores. So naturally, I took a little bit of this on the back of my hand and instantly loved the feel of it. It felt so moisturising and soft. Anyways, as you can probably tell, I bought it (sorry, captain state-the-obvious). My Mum also bought one too!

Here is the product on the back of my hand and you can sort of see the dewiness of it right? That's what I like most about it. It looks healthy.

So now this brings me to the '10-in-1' claim. There is a long LONG list of benefits on the back of the tube, but for the sake of our sanity, I'm just going to simplify them here. Stila basically claims that the BB Cream is ant-aging, naturally based, very moisturising, a high definition formula (what?), reduces pore size, reduces oil, controls blemishes, reduces redness and skin irritation, is good for all skin types and blends on smoothly. Did your head just explode? So many claims!

All I can say about this is that yes, it feels very moisturising on the skin and has a sheer to light coverage. You can simply blend it on with your fingers, which I prefer myself because it melts down the product a little and smoothes it on easier. I have been wearing this with a light setting powder through my t-zone just to dull down the shine a little, but I'm finding the consistency very lightweight and lovely for those days I don't want to wear a foundation.

And it's here where I leave you, but my BB Cream obsession begins.

What BB Creams do you love/hate? Let me know so I can tame my curiosity a little bit :)

    1. Interesting! Might stay away from the drugstore ones then. Even though I am SUPER intrigued by the L'Oreal one!
