Welcome to my first ever empties post! I used up a hell of a lot of products during December, so I thought it was time to jump on board and tell you all about them. And here they are...
This worked out really well because I managed to finish off a bit of everything including skincare, makeup, bodycare and haircare.
Let's start with skincare...
Left to right: L'Oreal Gentle Makeup Remover, Lush Eau Roma Water, The Body Shop Tea Tree Exfoliating Wash
The Lush Eau Roma Water is a toner which is best suited for dry to normal skin types. I actually purchased this in the winter time as I thought my face would appreciate an extra drink. Unfortunately this toner didn't do a whole lot for my skin, which was sad. The main reason I like to use toners is because I love the softening feeling of them. This did not soften and actually went off before I used it all. Oh well, can't be impressed by everything!
I suffer with congested skin in the T-zone so I thought I would try The Body Shop's Tea Tree Exfoliating Wash. This wash scrubs and makes your skin feel quite fresh but wasn't active enough to properly decongest my skin. I sure this would work great on some skins, but I probably wouldn't recommend it as a product to combat blackheads alone.
Now for some hair care...
Left to right: L'Oreal Professionnel Hair Mix Supreme Smooth, Muk. Deep Muk 1 Min Ultra Soft Treatment
The L'Oreal Hair Mix is described as a "nutri-smoothing cream for dry hair" and I have been using this bottle for absolutely ages! For so long in fact, I can't find it on the L'Oreal website, so I'm pretty sure it no longer exists. Ah well, good reason to try something new eh?
The Muk Treatment is something that the girl at Hairhouse Warehouse basically forced me to buy. Luckily I really liked it. I use it every second time I wash my hair and it helps keep it soft and to tame down the frizz. But I don't think I will be repurchasing as I prefer using hair oils at the moment and the fact that it is made with "extracts of sea kelp" kind of freaks me out!
Body care...
The Body Shop Shea Body Scrub
This is my holy grail body scrub and I have never tried anything that makes my skin feel as soft as this! I used this for the first time about six years ago now and it changed the way I think about scrubbing. Now I'm an addict. The Shea Body Scrub leaves an oily film on the skin after you scrub but it is easily washed away with shower gel. But your skin still feels amazing regardless. Love it.
AND makeup...
Left to right: Rimmel Exaggerate Waterproof Eye Definer - Noir, Maybelline Baby Lips - Anti-oxidant Berry
This Rimmel Eye Definer is something I have been using for years as well. It is waterproof and doesn't budge all day. It's lovely and soft and doesn't break the bank. This one is a definite win and a staple in my makeup case.
And the Maybelline Baby Lips have been amazing for keeping my lips soft since I bought them. It featured in my August Favourites video which you can watch here. Luckily I still have some of the Mango Pie flavour left. At the moment, I am experimenting with another lip balm so I'm not too sure when my next repurchase of this will be. But it's definitely a winner!
Benefit They're Real Mascara
I also used up my Benefit They're Real Mascara last week, but forgot to save the packaging. This mascara is great, but I highly doubt I will be buying this again unless they slash the price by half. I just find it way too expensive for a mascara.
So that's my December empties! Hope you enjoyed reading this post. Comment below and let me know so products that you tried over the last month.

Ohhh some interesting empties there! I was hoping that the tea tree wash would be good, but oh well, probably won't try it as I need something fairly intense on my blackheads :P
ReplyDeleteI definitely MUST try that Body Shop scrub now! It sounds amazing!
xx
The scrub is the best thing ever! I totally recommend it for everyone. Yeah I think with the wash it would be really good for oily skin, just not active enough for me.
DeleteThanks for reading x
That mascara is so good. I use it everyday and I love it :)
ReplyDeleteyeah I just wish it wasn't so expensive!
DeleteI think the Body Shop scrub is going to be on my wishlist for this month, they always smell incredible but I just never get them for some reason. Love this review of it and it definitely sold me!
